We are seeking an experienced Import/Export Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of import and export operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee import/export shipments from start to finish, including documentation, customs clearance, transportation, and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, including customs laws, trade regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of all import/export activities, including shipping schedules, inventory levels, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor and analyze import/export trends, tariffs, and regulations to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, purchasing, and logistics, to coordinate import/export activities and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues regarding import/export procedures, documentation requirements, and compliance standards.
• Stay informed about changes in import/export laws and regulations and ensure that company policies and procedures are updated accordingly.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, international trade, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in import/export operations, preferably in the packaging industry.
• Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
• Certification in import/export management or customs brokerage (preferred).
