  • Coordinate all import and export activities, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Prepare and review import/export documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents.
  • Manage shipment scheduling, logistics, and transportation arrangements.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any shipping issues or delays.
  • Handle import/export documentation, record-keeping, and maintain accurate records.
  • Negotiate freight rates, contracts, and terms with shipping carriers and service providers.
  • Stay updated on changes in import/export laws, regulations, and market trends.
  • Assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and certifications for import/export activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and logistics, to coordinate import/export activities and support business objectives.
  • Analyze import/export data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Provide support and guidance to other team members and departments on import/export-related matters.
  • Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to import/export operations from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of import/export strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize risks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in import/export operations, customs clearance, and international logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in import/export documentation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation and records.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle shipping issues and customs clearance delays effectively.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and familiarity with trade finance concepts is a plus.
  • Certification in Import/Export Management or Customs Brokerage is desirable.
