Job Description


Job Title Implementation Engineer 2Common accountabilities:
- Works autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, takes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.
- Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles or manager, with regular monitoring on the status of the assignments.
- May have specialized formal education or the equivalent work experience and has the required technical and functional skills and basic knowledge of the business.Specific accountabilities:Analyse customer systems and service requirements.
Identify specific actions necessary to integrate Amadeus products/services.
Establish and manage the product/solution integration schedule.
Determine and document adaptations to Amadeus products and services.
Write functional specifications used for customisation and/or verify that specifications reflect customer requirements.
Guarantee that customised products/solutions meet specified requirements.
Perform the necessary tests on the customized solution before it is delivered to the customer.
Provide functional support and problem resolution to sales and/or customer functional staff.
Support project activities during the implementation.Main ResponsibilitiesImplementation activitiesFunctional support during AAM implementations:

  • Provide support & guidance during sales engagement in order to gather customer requirement and define Amadeus solution.
  • Analyse customer business processes, systems and service requirements.
  • Define optimized solution matching customer requirements
  • Identify specific actions necessary to integrate Amadeus products/services under implementation team responsibility.
  • Implement and validate customized products/solutions.
  • Provide functional support and problem resolution to sales and/or customer functional staff.
  • Provide consultancy services to customer in business process, assess product usage and define tailored service proposal, and deliver to the customer.
  • Provide post implementation maintenance support.
  • - Provide technical/functional consultancy to new/existing customers for Amadeus Reservation Desktop(ARD) product
  • - Run customer solution workshops with the airlines in order to identify detailed customization scope for implementation
  • - Deliver presentations/demos to the customer on the product / solution
  • - Responsible for implementing the Amadeus Reservation Desktop Web and related products
  • - Analyse customer systems and service requirements
  • - Identify specific actions necessary to integrate Amadeus products/services
  • - Establish and manage the product/solution integration schedule
  • - Ensure that customised products/solutions meet specified requirements
  • - Provide functional support and problem resolution to sales and/or customer functional staff
  • - Manage project activities during the implementation.
  • - Support solution deployment, integration and validation
  • - Manage the entire User Acceptance Testing(UAT) stage while customer validates their business process with the implemented product
Project Management:
  • Define the overall migration strategy for a customer. Handle the migration activities, rehearsals, and cutover with the airline. Responsible for the setup of the product in test and production.
  • Support project activities during the implementation in the area of expertise (incl. system/data set-up, support to test phases and migration). Support UAT and BPT testing from the airline
  • Lead Implementation projects as well as Services projects. Define the overall planning of activities and track progresses through the applicable project governance.
  • Liaise with all Amadeus involved teams: ADP, DEV, PDef, PM, Pre-Sales
  • Retrospective learnings & Documentation
Other activities:
  • Participate to the creation and improvement of implementation processes
  • Lead knowledge transfer and industrialization of new Amadeus solutions.
  • Participate to the creation and delivery of new Services around Products Portfolio under team activities.
Skills & Knowledge - Technical / FunctionalThe successful candidate will be:

Specific skills
  • Good knowledge of the airline IT business and Amadeus core reservation and Search, Shopping, pricing products.
  • Must understand key concepts of airline e-commerce web applications
  • Knowledge of Airline fares filling in any Fares providers (ATPCO, SITA etc)
  • Basic knowledge of airport and airline operations.
Skills Needed:
  • Customer facing, good knowledge of the airline IT business and airlines core reservation and Search, Shopping, pricing products.
  • Knowledge of Airline fares filling, fare family, ancillaries, fare structures on platforms (added advantage).
  • Must understand key concepts of airline e-commerce web applications.
  • Good at project management - change management & tracking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of airport and airline operations.
Travel
  • 5-10% to APAC
Education and Years of Experience
  • Engineer degree or university degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience (IT).
  • Fluent in English
  • Airlines , ancillaries, fares and offers,Altea Reservation system (added advantage)
  • IATA certifications (optional)
  • Work exp : 4-7 years
