Centre of Excellence for Road Safety (CoERS) established at RBG labs, IIT Madras acts as think tank and funded by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GOI. In addition, the centre advises and guides various stakeholders like State Governments and industry bodies in different aspects of road safety. The centre with multidisciplinary prospects works with principle of Integrated Systems approach on 4E's (Engineering, Enforcement, Emergency & Education) to enhance Road Safety across the nation and globe in pledge to save lives

At the Centre of Excellence for Road Safety, we are looking for a Technical Content Writer to join at IIT Madras, Chennai.

Responsibilities

Create and curate documentation for our projects, platform and products, including conceptual overviews, task-based guides, multimedia tutorials, product/ project documentation, manuals, guides and tutorials for various audiences.

Work closely with Data Science and Engineering across various teams to gain a deep
understanding of the products and services we offer.

Translate complex technical information into simple, accurate, engaging content that adapts to various audiences.

Research, create, and maintain documentation templates that adhere to centre's standards.

Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent
tone of voice across all documentation.

Push new ideas on creating, delivering, authoring, and interacting with technical content.

Work closely with Design, Product and Engineering to define content structure and create
visuals and diagrams.

Should possess excellent skills in working with Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams.

An eye for design and good knowledge in design software such as PowerBi, InDesign, Premier Pro and Photoshop is a bonus.

Ability to handle constructive feedback, work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage
multiple projects simultaneously, with the possibility of working after hours.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Communications, Public Relations,
Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
