Job Summary

The Experienced Image Processing Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing algorithms and techniques for processing and analyzing product images. The role involves enhancing image quality, implementing automated tagging, improving search relevance, and developing new features for product visualization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning, with a proven track record in e-commerce or related industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize image processing algorithms for product image enhancement, including filtering, denoising, and normalization.
• Implement advanced techniques for image segmentation, object detection, and feature extraction.
• Develop automated image tagging and categorization systems to improve product search relevance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate image processing solutions into the e-commerce platform.
• Conduct research to stay updated with the latest advancements in image processing and computer vision relevant to e-commerce.
• Optimize algorithms for performance and scalability on different hardware platforms, including cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain documentation for algorithms, code, and workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to image processing in deployed systems.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 1.5+ years of experience in image processing, computer vision, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of image processing techniques and algorithms.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python,, Numpy.
• Experience with image processing libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image).
• Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Proven experience in optimizing algorithms for large-scale applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the e-commerce industry, particularly with product image processing.
• Knowledge of GPU programming and optimization (e.g., CUDA, LAMA).
• Experience with 3D image processing and augmented reality.
• Familiarity with software development tools and practices (e.g., version control, testing frameworks).
• Experience with cloud-based services and platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in Image segmentation, detection, classification GAN & U-NET.
