Job Description

Direct Patient Care

Carry out the procedures of admission and discharge of the patient

Makes beds of serious patients and helps or guides students or Group 'D' employees to make beds, by supplying linen.

Maintains personal hygiene and comfort of the patient

Attends to the nutritional needs of the patient and feeds the helpless patients.

Implements and maintains ward policies and routines

Coordinates patient care with other team members

Performs various technical task related to nursing care

Administration of Medication

Assisting doctors in various medical and surgical diagnostic procedures by preparing patients and getting ready with required things

Maintains of records and reports of each procedures

Attends last officers in case of a patient dying during shifts and arrange to preserve dead body in mortuary or hand over the body with respect to concerned family members / relatives / authorities.

Documentation

Ward /ICU/ unit management

Helps the ward/ICU-in-charge to carry out her/his work or act as ward-in-charge during their absence.

Maintains general cleanliness of the ward and sanitary annexure.

Supervises the duties of Group "D" employees and guides them and reports accordingly.

Writes the diet register and supervises the distribution of diet and report if any necessary.

Maintains duly room trays, sterilizes instruments and see that procedural trays are in readiness.

Supervises nursing care and other tasks carried out by the students

Take over from duty nurse of the previous new and serious patients, instruments, supplies, drugs etc. and handover the same accordingly.

Maintains all the records pertaining to ward /ICU/ unit.

Management of postoperative / ICU / Burns units

Indent and procurement of all the necessary equipment s, drugs, O2 cylinder, which are required for the units.

Operates ECC, EEC, Cardiac resuscitation

To participate in the appraisal scheme in accordance with Hospital policy

Qualification: ANM,GNM,BSc,PBBSc

Total Experience : Minimum Exp:0; Maximum Exp.: 5 years

Additional Requirements:

Develop good communication skills, both written and verbal to ensure accurate information is conveyed to other members of the team.

To undertake an appraisal and personal development review annually and through self-development, continuously update and improve knowledge and competencies.

Keep abreast of current nursing concepts and be prepared to adopt new methods of patient care as appropriate.

Ensure all the required reports are maintained as required by Dept. head and management.

Pay: From ?18,800.00 per month

Schedule:

• Rotational shift
