- As a Large Deal Manager specializing in the Government and Public Sector business opportunities, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating large-scale business deals and contracts specifically tailored for government agencies and public sector organizations.
- You will work closely with the sales, legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure successful execution of high-value contracts and agreements. Your expertise in navigating the unique requirements and regulations of the government and public sector will be crucial in securing and delivering complex deals.
Key Responsibilities:
Deal Management:
- Take ownership of end-to-end deal management process for government and public sector clients, including deal structuring, negotiation, and execution.
Public Sector Expertise:
- Possess a deep understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, compliance requirements, and unique challenges in the public sector.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with government agencies, public sector organizations, and internal teams to understand their specific needs and align deal strategies accordingly.
Contract Negotiation:
- Lead negotiations with government entities, ensuring compliance with procurement guidelines and addressing legal, financial, and operational considerations.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with large deals in the government and public sector, including compliance, security, and political risks.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with government clients, agencies, and key stakeholders to foster trust and facilitate successful deal outcomes.
Proposal Development:
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and presentations that address the unique requirements of government and public sector clients.
Compliance and Ethics:
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable laws while conducting business with government entities.
Performance Tracking:
- Monitor and track the performance of large government deals against set objectives and targets, providing regular updates to senior management.
Market Research:
- Stay abreast of government policies, legislative changes, industry trends, and competitor activities relevant to the government and public sector market.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling specific to government contracts, considering budgetary constraints, funding sources, and long-term sustainability.

- Build reusable assets such as proposal templates/pricing models/approaches etc. to cut short the cycle time/effort of building response.
- Leads the Bids as the proposal coordinator working with Centre of Excellences (COEs) Solution Architects and SMEs for solutioning.
- Experience over 8-10+ years in Proposal/Bid Management and RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) processes, organizing and managing winning proposals in response to request for proposals (RFPs).
- Thorough experience in attending proposal kick-off meetings, participating in storyboarding sessions, attending review meetings / final document review, managing deal governance / sign off and delivery of the completed proposal. - Excellent communication and organizational skills - Ability to conceptualize and think creatively.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Flexibility to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
