OverviewThe IB MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality, engaging instruction to students, while effectively implementing the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP) frameworks. They are responsible for creating an inclusive learning environment that fosters holistic growth and encourages critical thinking in mathematics.Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive and stimulating IB MYP/DP Mathematics lessons
• Implement differentiated teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students
• Design and execute effective assessment strategies aligned with IB standards
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary connections within the IB framework
• Integrate technology to enhance the learning experience and support IB standards
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
• Participate in professional development activities to deepen understanding of IB philosophies and pedagogies
• Guide students in the development of their approach to learning (ATL) skills within the IB framework
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance
• Engage in parent communication to provide updates on student progress and support their involvement in the learning process
• Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum in line with IB MYP/DP requirements
• Supervise and support students in their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and Internal Assessments in the DP
• Participate in school events and committees that promote the IB mission and ethos
• Maintain awareness of the latest educational trends and best practices in IB pedagogy
• Support students\' personal and academic development through mentoring and guidance

• Master\'s degree in Mathematics, with Teaching Qualifications
• Teaching certification or licensure
• Experience in teaching IB MYP/DP Mathematics curriculum
• Demonstrated understanding of the IB educational philosophy and frameworks
• Proven ability to create and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons
• Strong knowledge of differentiation and individualized instruction
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning effectively
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Understanding of formative and summative assessment practices
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
• Experience in curriculum development and alignment with IB standards
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse educational community
• Experience in guiding students through DP components such as TOK and Internal Assessments
• Ability to support students\' development of the IB learner profile attributes
• Understanding of and commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
