OverviewThe IB MYP Visual Arts Teacher is a pivotal role within our vibrant educational environment in Bangalore, aimed at enhancing students' artistic abilities through the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
• Design and lead professional development workshops for colleagues on best practices in Visual Arts teaching.
• Inspire students to explore their cultural backgrounds through artistic projects.
• Stay updated with current trends in art education and incorporate these into lesson plans.
• Encourage students to reflect on their artistic choices and processes through journal writing.
• Maintain inventory of art supplies and manage the budget for the art department.
• Support students' participation in local, national, and international art competitions.
• Communicate and engage with parents regarding student progress and art-related activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or qualification for secondary education.
• Experience working with diverse student populations in an international setting.
• Strong understanding of the IB MYP framework and its educational philosophies.
• At least 2 years of experience teaching Visual Arts at the middle school level.
• Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of artistic techniques and mediums.
• Knowledge of contemporary art practices and art history.
• Ability to create an inclusive curriculum that reflects students' cultural diversity.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
