Overview: The IB MYP Individuals & Societies (I & S) Teacher plays a pivotal role in fostering the intellectual and emotional growth of students within the framework of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. This position is crucial for guiding students in developing a deep understanding of human societies, cultures, geography, history, and economics, while encouraging them to think critically about their world. The teacher will create an inclusive learning environment that promotes inquiry-based learning and enhances students' global awareness.   • Prepare students for their personal project, guiding them in the exploration of real-world issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance and assessment data.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and learning goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay current with IB updates.
  • Contribute to the school community by participating in extracurricular activities and events.
  • Foster a positive and respectful classroom culture.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, History, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or licensure pertinent to the position.
  • Experience teaching in an international or IB school preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the IB Middle Years Programme philosophy.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in classroom technology and digital tools.
