Hardware System / Subsystem Test Engineer
:
As a Hardware System / Subsystem Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies and plans to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of hardware subsystems within complex systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements, develop test methodologies, and conduct rigorous testing to identify and resolve defects. Your role will play a critical part in ensuring the overall quality of hardware subsystems and their successful integration into larger systems.
Qualification:
BE / B.Tech with minimum 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
Experience in Aerospace / Defense / Avionics is preferrable.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with hardware design engineers and system architects to understand hardware subsystem requirements and specifications.
Design and develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for hardware subsystems.
Develop and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and test environments necessary for conducting hardware tests.
Execute functional, performance, and reliability tests on hardware subsystems, following established test procedures.
Identify, document, and track hardware defects and issues, and collaborate with design teams to resolve them.
Conduct root cause analysis of hardware failures and propose solutions for improving the reliability and performance of subsystems.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware subsystems with other system components.
Collaborate with hardware designers to verify and validate hardware designs through simulation and testing.
Develop and maintain test documentation, including test reports, test procedures, and specifications.
Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and manufacturability aspects of hardware subsystems.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to hardware testing.
Requirements:
Bachelor Engineering degree in [Electrical & Electronics], Electronics and Communication], [Electronics & Instrumentation], [Computer Engineering], or a related field. A Master\'s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in hardware testing, preferably in the development of complex systems or subsystems.
Strong understanding of hardware testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Familiarity with hardware test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and millimeters.
Proficiency in scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or Shell) for test automation and data analysis.
Knowledge of hardware design principles, digital and analog electronics, and circuit analysis.
Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and protocols relevant to hardware testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, isolate, and resolve hardware issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
