Job Description

Candidate must have experience of managing the requirements and design of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVA/C) system on offshore HVDC/HVAC platform / Offshore Living Quarters. Candidate shall be familiar with applicable International standards for HVA/C Candidate shall be able to review and analyze preliminary or basic design documents, scope of Work, Design Basic, Equipment Specification, Control Philosophy, Datasheet, Adequacy Report, FEED Verification report, etc. issued by client as part of bid. Candidate should be able to prepare and review HVAC Calculations and shall be well versed with HVA/C software like HAP and be able to carry out HVAC Heat Load estimation using Carrier Hourly Analysis Programmed (HAP 5.11), Ventilation and Building Pressurization calculations and building air flow and distribution. Candidate shall carryout preliminary Sizing and Selection of the HVAC equipment: DX and Chilled water type HVAC equipment\'s like Chiller, Chilled Water Pumps, AHU, ACCU, PAC Unit, Split Units, Battery/Kitchen/Toilet/Workshop/GIS rooms exhaust system, etc. and Chilled water piping and HVAC ducting accessories. Candidate shall be able to prepare Datasheet and RFQs for HVA/C Equipments & Bulk as per project requirements. HVAC Modeling and Model review Work: Providing technical inputs for modeling, Guide & Co-ordination with Designer and other disciplines, 3D modelling REVIT MEP, PDMS, SP3D, etc. Candidate shall review Vendor\'s technical Offer, issue Technical Queries, take part in technical discussions with vendor, prepare Technical Bid Evaluation etc.., Candidate shall review Vendor\'s VDR documents like Equipment Data Sheet, GA Drawing, Inspection & Test Plan, and Installation Operation & Maintenance Manual in post order. Candidate shall co-ordinate with various internal (Quality / Purchase / Logistics) and external stakeholders (Suppliers / Fabrication Yard / Client) for approval of project documentation Candidate shall support in Field/Site Engineering, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Activities: Site meeting and technical discussion with client/ vendor and clarifying the technical queries raised by the sub-contractors. HVA/C system check as per vendor documentation and as built layouts and Attend the onsite client\'s queries associated to HVAC construction activities. Work with the Commissioning Team in Pre-commissioning & Commissioning stages of all HVAC Equipment\'s. Duct Leak Testing, Testing Adjusting & Balancing (TAB) of Air side and Hydronic Piping\'s as per standard ASHRAE guidelines. Well familiar with the general HVA/C installation completion procedures, start up and commissioning procedures and check points. Other HVA/C Engineering Activities Inputs to Inst., Elect., Civil / Architectural, Piping, Process for HVAC work and coordination. Inter-discipline Co-ordination and technical inputs to another department. Support project execution, site supervision and HVAC technical query resolution during construction and commissioning phase. Co-ordination with client and other engineering departments.
