Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer with expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing ductwork and chilled water piping systems and will contribute to the successful execution of various HVAC projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of HVAC systems and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and draft HVAC systems, including ductwork and chilled water piping, using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop detailed HVAC layout drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Perform load calculations and equipment selection to ensure system efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate HVAC designs into overall project plans.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing systems and gather data for design improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design narratives.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support during the construction phase.
- Ensure designs meet local building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in HVAC technology and design practices.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Minimum of 2-6 years of experience in HVAC design, specifically duct and chilled water piping systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, load calculations, and system components.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with HVAC design software (HAP, E-20, Autocad).
- Understanding of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
- Experience in the construction and commissioning phases of HVAC projects.
