As the Human Resource Manager at Abhi vairavn's Plumbing co, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all HR functions within our organization. You will be responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Your role will be pivotal in aligning our HR strategies with our business goals and driving organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
• Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
• Oversee the job posting process on various job portals, social media, and other platforms.
• Conduct interviews, screen candidates, and coordinate with hiring managers to select the best candidates.
• Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
Employee Onboarding and Development:
• Design and conduct orientation programs for new employees.
• Facilitate ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
• Manage the digital onboarding process and ensure timely upload of employee data in HR systems.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
• Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement activities and programs.
• Address and resolve employee grievances and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular meetings with employees to understand their concerns and provide support.
Payroll Processing:
• Accurately process and manage the company's payroll on a regular basis.
• Ensure all payroll transactions are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Calculate salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and other components of the payroll cycle.
Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit payroll taxes and other statutory deductions in accordance with applicable laws.
Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
• Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers.
• Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Oversee the administration of employee compensation, benefits, and incentive programs.
• Conduct salary surveys and job evaluations to maintain competitive pay structures.
• Ensure compliance with the "Pay for Performance" principle and manage performance-based incentives.
Performance Management:
• Develop and implement performance management systems to evaluate employee performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.
• Initiate and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for underperforming employees.
Compliance and Legal:
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including ESI, PF, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
• Coordinate with legal counsel for any HR-related legal matters and attend hearings if necessary.
Training and Development:
• Identify training needs and develop training programs for employees at all levels.
• Coordinate and deliver training sessions on various HR policies, labor laws, and safety protocols.
• Track the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
Health, Safety, and Wellness:
• Promote employee health and safety by conducting regular audits and providing solutions.
• Develop wellness programs to support employees' physical and mental well-being.
HR Systems and Reporting:
• Manage HRIS (Human Resource Information System) and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
• Generate regular reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, attendance, and employee performance.
• Utilize HR analytics to drive data-driven decision-making.
Organizational Development:
• Work with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive organizational change initiatives and improve departmental productivity.
• Update job descriptions and create new roles to support business growth.
ISO Audit and Quality Management:
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and maintain documentation for audits.
• Provide necessary data and support to auditors during ISO audits.
Other HR Activities:
• Handle additional HR tasks as assigned by management.
• Develop and maintain company policies and procedures.
• Manage communication and coordination for company events and activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources-, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. (MBA, MSW)
• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in HRIS and other HR management software.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
• Full-time position based in the company's head office.
• May require occasional travel to retail stores and warehouses.
• Standard office hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
