Role Overview

As the organization that touches all our employees, the Human Resources department has a special role in capitalizing on opportunities and creating the future for Bechtel.

The HR Data Analyst will provide business users and management with easy access to comprehensive, integrated workforce and talent information and analysis that is credible, reliable, actionable and reasonable.

Role Duties

  • Backing global standardization and acceptance of employee and manager self-service standard reports and dashboards resulting in 24/7 access to real-time data
  • Creation and maintenance of PowerBI reports to support Human Resources processes and programs.
  • Produce ad hoc reports/queries including information to backing special initiatives, staffing reports and data for leadership presentations
  • Partner with business units to translate business needs into defined report requirements
  • Identify opportunities to integrate between databases and reporting tools to improve reporting; seek opportunities to drive innovation and process improvement within the reporting spectrum
  • Create reports in TalentWorks (SuccessFactors), Business Objects and other source systems as needed
  • Provide data analysis to backing business development, annual leadership review and process improvement
  • Participate in enterprise-wide employee survey efforts to report and assess results.
  • Ensure appropriate data security and data protocols at all times
  • Establish data quality monitoring & metrics on key business data
  • Provide adherence to reporting statutory regulations and legal obligations
  • Work with IS&T and HR Systems/Technology teams to assure thorough, efficient and accurate data results from reporting tools and processes
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources, Business, IT or related measurable field and 4 years of experience working in a reporting environment, with recognized ability to deliver high quality & accurate reports within demanding timelines OR 6 years overall related experience in lieu of Degree.
  • Proven experience in complex data analytics and developing statistical reporting.
  • Experience building reports or dashboards in Microsoft Power BI with ability to write measures and calculated columns using complex data analysis expressions.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and complex data interpretation with the ability to present information and insights to all layers of the organization in a concise, clear, and timely manner.
  • Ability to extract, manipulate, and tie together master HR data through various reporting platforms and analytical systems to include Talentworks, Business Objects, SAP, PowerBI, and/or other HR systems tools.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Office, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:

Work experience within the following areas:
  • Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Recognized HR Generalist knowledge and experience across a broad range of HR work processes, policies, and systems.
  • Experience building reports and extracting data from HR reporting systems (Business Objects, TalentWorks, SAP, etc.)
  • Possess service mindset and ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to exercise initiative and make decisions with little or no supervision and be accountable for such actions
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Evidence of business acumen with recognized results in influencing and advising managers and leaders at all levels
