Central Commercial Leader (Supply Chain) - Labels Business

Location : Ambernath Plant

Position Summary:

- To establish a strong focus on Supply Chain & transactional sourcing Management in Labels manufacturing plants, The incumbent will provide vision, objectives and focus on the most important building blocks such as S&OP, inventory management, Supplier contracts, Supplier service agreements , Transactional sourcing process for direct , Indirect and stringent process orientation which will result in high service levels, low inventories, lean processes, and a cost-competitive manufacturing footprint.

Organizational Context:

- Labels manufacturing operates in 03 manufacturing sites in India with Turnover (2021) in - 30M.

Planning & Review:

- Three-year strategic plan is reviewed on a yearly basis. Based on the strategic plan, the annual budget and risk review is developed during the third quarter of each year. The actual versus budget and forecast are reported on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis with detailed variance explanations. Capital expenditure and other investment projects are based on budget and business plans. Labels region level prepare the capex proposals for Segment and group review and approvals follow Huhtamaki Group approval procedures.

Working Relations:

- The Central commercial Head labels works closely with the Manufacturing cluster head labels, plant leadership teams, Sales and Commercial Excellence, the Innovation & Marketing, the Head of Supply chain Management India, Head of Finance Operations & cluster head labels.

Role and Responsibilities:

- The below mentioned tasks and activities are indicative by nature. Other tasks and responsibilities may be added to the activities at any time-based business requirements and the skills, competencies, and the professionality of the position holder.

- All tasks/duties need to be completed whilst adhering to the Huhtamaki Values.

S&OP:

- Introduces, steers, and improves the Sales & Operational Planning process to meet targeted service levels, optimize capacity loading and minimize inventory levels.

- Measures (introduces) and owns service related KPI\'s such as DIFOT, site loading, lead-time.

- Optimizes labels profitability levels by analysing and determining the best setup in collaboration with controlling, commercial excellence, sales, and production.

- Determines the manufacturing location for new orders based on customer preference, capacity, capability, and cost.

- Ensures volume transfers within the site network by determining process, roles & responsibilities and supervising and reporting execution.

Working Capital:

- Monitors and minimizes the inventory and WIP level needed to maintain the desired high service level.

- Measures and owns inventory related KPI\'s such as DOI, WIP

- Conducts analysis on turnover-rates (ABC-XYZ) and determines replenishment schemes, reorder-points, etc. in cooperation with sourcing (category management)

OTC:

- Establishes an effective and efficient order-to-cash process.

- Designs, maps, and improves the process setup in collaboration with sites, segment interfaces and IT.

- Acts as process owner for Labels India

Customer value proposition / e2e solutions:

- Facilitates and deploys e2e supply chain solutions based on capability, capacity and cost

- Leads customer projects in close collaboration with controlling, sales, commercial excellence and sites

Sourcing:

- Interact with Global category sourcing managers to ensure supply continuity with lowest possible landed cost

- Responsible for local Sourcing of non-global category direct Raw Materials and indirect materials

- Liaison with CHA for smooth operations of export and import activities.

- Statutory compliances, ensure SOD and DOA are adhered in all Sourcing activities.

Talent and team development:

- Builds, develops and retains a high-performing cross-functional team and supports capability build in all sites

- Fosters and drives best-practice sharing and benchmarking to achieve supply chain excellence (service level, inventory and WIP, efficient capacity utilization)

- Keeps tracks of new developments and digital solutions by attending trainings and visiting vendors

- Ensure that a responsible and dynamic image is presented in all dealings with external organizations.

- Ensure the company\'s interests are fully protected by developing relations and representation with industry bodies and contacts.

- Ensure that a profession and responsible image is presented in all internal dealings and Huhtamaki Group

Culture and Communication:

- Hold regular team briefings with the Labels supply chain management team.

- Ensure that adequate information is appropriately communicated to respective team members as well as employees under operations functions and operations community.

- Ensure the employee engagement programs are fully implemented in line with current plans.

Supply Chain Competence:

- Provides functional leadership and direction to the labels sites and improves the competence and effectiveness of the team.

- Site loading: Alerts if units do not have enough capacity in critical areas or run-on overcapacity.

- Ensure that the activities of the function follow with company policies and procedures.

Professional experience:

- Experience in the wider or global packaging area or any other sector that shows similar challenges like high volume, multiple SKU\'s, and competitive markets.

- Proven track record of in a supply chain management role related to multi country and market covering role.

- Former experience on driving service, process and inventory reduction improvements via lean methods and other continuous improvement initiatives

- Used to working in a matrix environment.

- Organized and good planning skills

- Able to bring people together to work on common initiatives, able to inspire, influence and lead also indirect team.
