Job Title: Safety Engineer

:

As a Safety Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and well-being of personnel, equipment, and the environment within the workplace. You will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement safety protocols, procedures, and initiatives aimed at preventing accidents, injuries, and occupational hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety Inspections and Audits : Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Risk Assessment and Management : Assess risks associated with workplace activities and recommend measures to mitigate or eliminate them. Develop risk management plans and provide guidance on their implementation.
• Safety Training and Education : Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Incident Investigation and Reporting : Investigate accidents, near misses, and other safety incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare detailed reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response : Develop emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, such as fires, chemical spills, and medical emergencies. Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of these plans and ensure readiness.
• Safety Compliance : Stay current with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the industry. Ensure that the organization remains in compliance with these requirements and assist in obtaining necessary permits and certifications.
• Safety Engineering Solutions : Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate safety features into new processes, equipment, and facilities. Review designs and propose modifications to enhance safety performance.
• Safety Culture Promotion : Foster a culture of safety throughout the organization by promoting open communication, participation in safety initiatives, and recognition of safety achievements.
• Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions. Ensure that documentation is organized and easily accessible for regulatory inspections and audits.
• Continuous Improvement : Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives through data analysis and feedback mechanisms. Identify areas for improvement and implement measures to enhance overall safety performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or NEBOSH
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
• Proven 7+ years experience in HSE department as Safety Officer(safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
