Join a team recognized for leadership, innovation and diversity As the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) District Leader for the India East region at Honeywell, you will be the key point of contact within the business, reporting to the BA HSE India Leader. Your role will involve assisting Business Leadership in delivering the BA HSE Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the East Region, including support for the Install & Service LOB business. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance and improving the safety culture within the portfolio. Additionally, you will manage the overall HSE Management System (HSEMS) for the East district and provide field technical support for the Product business.
Key Responsibilities: -
Ensure compliance with Honeywell corporate HSE requirements and legislation for the Field scope and OLRS in the region.
Establish relationships and processes with business managers to influence employees to meet HSE goals and objectives.
Lead and support the development and deployment of the 3-5 strategic plan (STRAP) and annual operating plan (AOP) for HSE performance across the region, utilizing tools such as the X-Matrix, A3 plans, and lean principles.
Conduct regular project/service contract reviews to improve HSE performance within the scope of work.
Audit Honeywell managed facilities to ensure compliance with Honeywell processes and statutory and corporate legislation.
Implement a robust governance and auditing program for HSE across the region.
Deliver HSE-related trainings, behavior observations, and internal auditor training to improve culture and awareness.
Work with the HSE leadership team to identify actions required to maintain or gain HSE certifications to ISO 45001.
Conduct injury/incident investigations as required.
Assist in resolving potential non-compliance, enforcement actions, or litigation related to HSE matters.
Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture and awareness.
Maintain close working relationships with Project Managers, Operational Managers, Service Leaders, and Honeywell regarding Contract HSEMS management.
Continuously improve the Management Operating System (MOS) to increase efficiency and effectiveness of HSE programs.
Coach and mentor Site Safety Officers/Engineers in delivering leading HSE performance for a site. Key Deliverables:
Achieve or exceed the annual operating plan (AOP) by reducing and eliminating incidents.
Sustain and improve HSE maturity, observations, corrective action metrics, and other general KPIs.
Ensure compliance with all HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
Foster a continuous improvement culture for HSE within the region.Basic Qualifications:
University Degree in Science or Engineering. - HSE qualification: Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute.
Internal/Lead Auditor certification for ISO 45001:2018 (advantageous).
Minimum 5 years of experience working in EHS Field.
Understanding and knowledge of local HSE legislation relevant to Honeywell businesses at a site or country level.
Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Ability to quickly build client-customer relationships in a challenging and changing environment.
HSE experience working with the manufacturing industry, project management, or construction industry desired.
Airport /Aviation safety experienced would be an advantage.Additional Information
