They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver.Project Overview:Bechtel is seeking to work with a major Indian corporation to provide Project Management Consultant (PMC) Services and Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Services for offsites and utilities (OSBL) for a multi-billion-dollar upgrade / expansion of existing petrochemical facilities in India. The PMC Services will be led out of India with personnel deployed in Mumbai region, the project sites in India, as well as several key contractor locations across India. The EPCM Services for OSBL will be led out of Bechtel\'s India offices. The scope of work is substantial with estimated multi-million job-hours.This position will start as an assignment in the Mumbai, India, Office prior to the receipt of the full notice to proceed from the Owner and will eventually transition to the job site for the EPC execution of the project.Position Summary:Assigned to a field construction organization in a professional supervisory position, the HSE Coordinator will report to the HSE Manager. Responsible for the organization and direction of HSE and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, the HSE Coordinator will assist the project team with various tasks supporting the execution planning for safe site construction. The individual will also supervise HSE implementation for early work activities at site within multiple disciplines and may be the primary client contact for HSE jobsite activities or may coordinate with client\'s resident representatives on jobsite HSE activities within assigned area of operations. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with client and company procedural requirements aligned with schedule and to required quality standards.Position Description:

  • Facilitates execution of the safety component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.
  • Helps prepare and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated plans and procedures, and training program.
  • Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups involving safety and health issues, risks, and techniques to reduce adverse impacts.
  • Interprets and integrates safety and health requirements in proposals, planning documents, risk assessment, and ESH program execution.
  • Research moderately complex issues and regulatory requirements, performs studies and risk assessments, and prepares documentation and reports.
  • Provides support and guidance for safety studies, risk assessments, and program reviews and audits.
  • Helps establish emergency preparedness and performs incident investigations.
  • Interfaces and communicates with stakeholders and helps resolve their concerns.
  • Participates in, or leads, meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards and risks, evaluate controls and corrective actions, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements.
  • Analyzes data and prepares data summaries, performance reports, technical reports, and presentations.
  • Develops ESH communications and training materials using diverse methods and media and gives specialized training.
  • Provides support for ESH team members and tasks, inclusive of all three ESH disciplines.
  • Provides support on bid proposals inclusive of documentation, estimates, and compliance with safety and health requirement.

Education & Experience:
  • Typically requires bachelor\'s degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
