Act as a key point of contact for employee-related issues, resolving concerns and disputes promptly and professionally.
Promote a positive work culture, driving employee engagement and ensuring open communication channels.
Conduct investigations into employee grievances and recommend appropriate solutions.
Manage disciplinary issues in line with company policies, ensuring fair and consistent handling of employee concerns.
Compliance & Labor Law:
Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, including statutory compliance related to contracts, leave policies, benefits, and more.
Regularly audit and ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, including the Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Gratuity Act, Employees Provident Fund (EPF), and others.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing labor laws and ensure policies are aligned with the latest legal requirements.
Prepare and maintain necessary compliance documentation and reports, including audits and inspections.
Industrial Relations (IR):
Manage relationships with unions (if applicable) and act as the liaison between the management and the workforce.
Handle any IR-related issues, including disputes, strikes, or grievances, and work towards maintaining industrial harmony.
Support management in developing and implementing effective IR strategies.
Ensure compliance with all IR-related regulations, including handling negotiations, settlements, and legal matters.
Talent Management & Development:
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure effective recruitment processes for various roles in Kolkata.
Identify opportunities for employee development and career progression.
Support the implementation of employee training and development programs.
Performance Management:
Work with business leaders to develop and implement performance management systems and ensure regular feedback and reviews.
Provide coaching to managers on handling performance issues and supporting employee development.
HR Projects & Strategic Initiatives:
Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring that HR initiatives support organizational growth.
Lead and participate in HR projects such as workforce planning, talent retention strategies, and employee engagement surveys.
Reporting & Analytics:
Maintain HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership on key HR performance indicators.
Prepare HR reports for management and stakeholders on various HR matters such as compliance, attrition, engagement, etc.
