Job Description


Key Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies tailored to the steel industry.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand workforce needs and create job descriptions that accurately reflect role requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor hiring practices to ensure a competitive edge.
Sourcing and Recruitment:
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, industry networks, and recruitment agencies, to identify potential candidates.
  • Proactively build a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future positions.
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess candidates\' technical skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Interviewing and Selection:
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews in collaboration with department managers.
  • Administer technical assessments and evaluate results to ensure candidates meet the required technical competencies.
  • Provide recommendations on candidate selection based on interviews and assessments.
Onboarding and Integration:
  • Work with the HR team to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Assist in the development of onboarding materials specific to the steel industry.
  • Monitor and support new employees during their probationary period to ensure successful integration.
Employer Branding:
  • Develop and maintain the companys employer brand within the steel industry.
  • Promote the company as an employer of choice through targeted recruitment campaigns and participation in industry events and job fairs.
  • Manage and enhance the companys online presence on recruitment platforms and social media.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with labor laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities, including candidate databases, job postings, and interview notes.
  • Prepare regular reports on recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate quality.
Employee Retention:
  • Collaborate with the HR team to implement strategies for improving employee retention.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather insights on turnover and suggest improvements to the recruitment and onboarding process.
Market Intelligence:
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about salary benchmarks, hiring trends, and workforce challenges specific to the steel industry.
  • Provide insights to HR leadership on emerging talent acquisition trends and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably within the steel industry or heavy manufacturing sector.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the steel industrys workforce requirements.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to hiring and employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Certification in Talent Acquisition or HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience with recruitment in specialized roles such as metallurgists, engineers, and technical experts within the steel industry.
  • Strong network within the steel industry or related sectors.
