The Onshore Service Specialist is responsible for managing services specific to a region that are complex in nature, require a hands-on personal engagement with Micron Team Members or physical presence, and/or are not currently managed by Offshore Global People Service Center teams. This role requires that the Onshore Team Member be a subject matter expert in each of the areas of services supported by the Onshore team, and that appropriate interaction with Offshore and COE teams takes place to clarify and optimize the support and services carried out by the global GPSC organization. The following job responsibilities outline the role and responsibilities of this role.
Respond To Customer Requests And Inquiries

  • Receive Request From Customer Through Inquiry Tool Or Other Communication Method
  • Enter Request Into Tracking Program, As Appropriate
  • Utilize The Knowledge Base Or Research Or Troubleshoot Request As Needed To Provide Answers And Clarifications To Improve First Call Resolution
  • Provide Requestor With Information, Or Refer Or Escalate To The Appropriate Resource
Manage And Maintain Personnel And Organizational Records
  • For cases elevated to the Onshore Team from the Master Data Offshore Team the following responsibilities apply:
o Receive Notification And Enter Request Into Tracking Program
o Refer To The Standard Operating Procedure And Policy For The Applicable Process
o Escalate Issues To Service Managers Or Other Appropriate Party, As Needed
o Notify Applicable Parties Of Required Forms, Timelines, Questions, Etc.
o Update The Relevant People System Of Record With Applicable Information
o Validate Data Changes In The People System Of Record
o Notify Applicable Parties Of Data Changes, As NeededImplement, Review, And Monitor Services
  • Receive Training from the Onshore Service Manager Or Appropriate Party delegated by the Onshore Service Manager For New Or Changed Services
  • Receive Certification On Team Readiness
  • Monitor And Review Process Effectiveness And Ensure Service Level Agreements Criteria Are Met
  • Provide Input To Service Manager Regarding Changes, Gaps, Or Improvements, As Needed
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures And Knowledge Base Which Includes Identifying Repetitive Questions Or Requests That Can Be Addressed Through The Self-Service Model, Offshore Support or Automation
  • Manage And Perform The User Acceptance Testing Of People Systems, Applications And Macros
  • Lead And/Or Support People Projects, As Assigned, Which Includes Driving Improvement Projects To Enhance People Team\xe2\x80\x99s Accuracy And Efficiency In Delivering People Services.
  • Monitor services provided by vendors using either vendor provided software or data, or People Service dashboards to measure and manage the output expected for the services provided
  • Where applicable, verify and approve invoices provided by the vendor, elevating any discrepancies to the Service Manager for review with Procurement
  • Work with the Service manager to ensure the terms and conditions of a service agreement are well understood and sufficiently communicated to all parties involved in the vendor provided service(s)

Support People Transactions And Programs Across The Employee Lifecycle
  • Administer Changes To Worker Data, Such As Insurance Change Forms, Marital Status, Leave Of Absence, Separation (For Defined Groups), And Termination Of Benefits
  • Administer The Employment Verification Process And Employment Data Tracking, Including Work Authorization
  • Provide Support And Coordinate Work Across People Functions
  • Be GPSC country POC with SME knowledge of local regulations and familiar with country culture and needs
  • Partner with COE on new program/policy implementation related to country specific or Onshore services
  • Administer Billing For Benefits / Insurance, Criminal Background Checks, Drug Testing, Work Verification, Etc., As Appropriate For The Service
  • Coordinate Interfaces To Vendors
  • Carry Out Other Relative Tasks Assigned According To Business Needs
Maintain Company And Worker Data Processes
  • For cases elevated to the Onshore Team from the Master Data Offshore Team the following responsibilities apply:
o Administer Organization Management
o Administer Position Management
o Facilitate Hiring Actions In HRIS Tool
o Support And Process Personnel Changes In HRIS Tools
o Update And Maintain Personnel And Organizational RecordsEngage and Collaborate with Functional Teams
  • Collaborate with each of the Global Functional teams as needed to expand services and support
  • Partner with Offshore GPSC team members to support cases escalated from the Offshore teams
  • Work with Onshore teams to identify and continuously improve the standardization of services globally and transition to Offshore teams
  • Identify training opportunities for self and others on services that are unique and complex
  • Be a change champion for new services or policy changes coming from the COE\xe2\x80\x99s
