Job Title: HR Manager Restaurant Background
Location: Chennai,Tamil Nadu
Reports To: Group HR Head
Job Purpose:
The HR Manager oversees all aspects of human resources practices and processes. They are responsible for implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. The HR Manager bridges management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and on boarding.
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Collaborate with department managers to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely hiring.
2. Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment through effective communication and fair HR practices.
- Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
3. Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems, including performance reviews, coaching, and career development planning.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related issues.
- Implement corrective actions and improvement plans as needed.
4. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops, both internally and externally.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.
5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
- Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitive salary and benefit packages.
- Manage the annual salary review process and bonus programs.
6. HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures based on best practices and legal requirements.
- Communicate policies and procedures to employees and ensure adherence across the organization.
7. Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.
- Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and advise management on necessary actions.
8. HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and documentation.
- Process payroll and manage HR budgets effectively.
- Prepare reports for management on HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee engagement scores.
9. Employee Engagement:
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs, team-building activities, and surveys.
- Monitor employee morale and address issues proactively.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven work experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with at least 13 years in HR management.
- In-depth knowledge of HR functions (recruitment, employee relations, performance management, etc.) and best practices.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR teams.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

Pay: ?45,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
