Roles and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all recruitment for Operations and Maintenance teams, including Blue Collared across PAN India for the Rail Division of Harsco
  • Implementation of HR policies (Recruitment, Selection, Performance Appraisal, Compensation Management, Leave Policy, Travel Policy, etc.) for bringing out the best in employees.
  • Training & developmental activities of staff & workers
  • Salary & wage administration (maintain all necessary registers as per the statutory requirement \xe2\x80\x93 attendance, OT, grievance, Employee Welfare, Basic infrastructure like washrooms, drinking water, and first-aid kits)
  • Responsible for maintaining harmonious & cordial industrial relations in the Organization
  • Responsible for statutory compliance, and records under various labor laws.
  • Maintain smooth and peaceful relations with the Blue collared workers and ensure simple closure of all IR issues thru cordial negotiations and discussions, with no compromise on employee discipline issues as per the defined guidelines
  • Administration of Contract Workforce (Agency Personnel) that include overseeing their Payroll to ensure statutory compliance
  • Manage dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees, government agencies, etc.
  • Managing 3rd party / sub-contractors personnel-related issues (statutory compliances, site discipline, etc)


Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Management or Human Resources or Diploma in Industrial Relations is required
  • A degree in law would be an added advantage
  • Work experience as an HR & Admin Officer, from a service-based manufacturing organization
  • Proficient with labor law in various states in India
  • Experience in working with MS Office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Very good organizational and interpersonal skills, and ready to pull up sleeves and set things right
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Good verbal and Written Communication Skills. Fluency in English and Hindi is a must. basic understanding of other Indian languages will be a plus
Physical Demand:
  • 75% Traveling to various sites within India
  • Visiting Labour Offices / Factories Inspector Premises / Other Government Offices for Liasioning and Maintaining Cordial Industrial Relations Maintaining physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts and other contracts, including medical records.
