Job purpose summaryWe are looking for someone passionate about people and keen to build trusted relationships with all staff and managers. This is an exciting position in our office in India, Bangalore, where you have the opportunity to develop yourself in many ways. You will work closely with the managers in both India and Norway. The HR Manager will lead and implement the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.If you are a "doer" and love to work independently, this could be the perfect position for you.You will play a key role in aligning the organization\'s human capital strategy with its financial goals, ensuring efficient use of resources and fostering a positive work environment conducive to growth and productivity.Key responsibilities

  • People Management:
Develop and implement effective people management, policies, and procedures to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performing workforce.Provide support and coaching to Managers at all levels in the CompanyRecruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staffDevelop and oversee employee relations, performance management, and talent development initiatives.Collaborate with department managers to ensure effective workforce planning and provide guidance on talent acquisition and retention.Management of employee life cycle including onboarding and induction, employee relations issues, absence management and offboarding
  • Talent Acquisition and Development:
Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Ownership of recruitment process and proceduresDevelop and implement talent development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.Support managers in identifying training needs, performance improvement plans, and career development opportunities.Maintenance and review of Employee Handbook, including HR processes and guidelinesAnalyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.QualificationsBachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master\'s degree is a plus.Proven experience in people management, talent acquisitionExperience with early phase technology startups or scaleups is a pluss.Sound knowledge of human resources practices and labor lawsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and utilize financial data.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Person-profileStrong leadership and managerial abilities with a strategic mindset.Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, while handling sensitive and confidential information.Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to take initiative and drive positive change.Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.We are a young and dynamic startup that is working hard to bring eye screening to everyone.We are hiring, so please reach out to us if you believe in our mission and think you are the right fit!
