What is the HR Analyst in HR Shared Services group responsible for?
Responsible for implementing, and administrating HR programs with a functional area or line of business
Analyzes HR problems and recommend solutions based on expertise, knowledge and experience within function.
May provide guidance and training to more junior staff.
Refers the most complex problems to senior staff of management.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a HR Analyst?
Daily Operations Support:
Provides functional support, including researching and resolving HR problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities and works towards providing appropriate solutions.
Performs system maintenance, including assisting in the review, testing and implementation of HR system and/or upgrade. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Documents process and results.
HR Analysis & Reporting:
Researches, analyzes, and presents data as assigned.
Tracks trends and developments in assigned functional areas.
Develops standard and ad hoc reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, and metrics.
Make oral presentations to management with data insights and recommendations.
Troubleshoots data and reports.
Policy Review, Trends & Continuous Improvement:
Manages projects/process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.
Recommends process service improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.
Conducts training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains clients on new processes/functionality. Trains new system users.
Maintains awareness of current HR trends in own function with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Examines trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR knowledge and functional application/tools knowledge. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
Ensures and strives compliance with appropriate regional rules and regulations.
Assesses implications and risks to function/ enterprise in terms of new rules and regulations.
Manages and leads special projects.
Meets with HR stakeholders to discuss and clarify requests for projects, highlights issues, and makes recommendations to address issues and priorities.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
3-6 years HR experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in written and spoken English
Outstanding project management skills including ownership over planning, tracking, and communicating project status / results
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a passion for technology, process improvement, and continuous learning
Excellent presentation & analytical skills
Build credible relationships
Ability to learn quickly and transfers knowledge appropriately
Good Team Player, Self-motivator, problem solver with a strong eye for details / accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities. Places high priority on data integrity and security
Demonstrate excellent judgement
Working knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow, MS Office
Working knowledge of Power BI
Proficient working across multiple HR disciplines and geographies
Proficient with regional employment law and practices
Experience in training techniques, methods, feedback delivery and evaluation
