If you would like some flexibility then please discuss this with the hiring manager. Candidate will be based out of Pune and working closely with the global functional lead for IBFO Risk and DMT. Candidate will be service lead during the EMEA hours to manage all services under IB FO Risk and Data Management Technology. Candidate will be driving stabilization, availability, continuity, Service on-boarding, service design, service governance, service reporting, IPC, manage service and operational risk for all services in IBFO Risk and DMT working with BtB, Vednor & other stakeholder. What will you be doing Having Overall accountability for day to day operation, seamless and smooth functioning of all the applications, processes and business deliverables. Escalating point for BAU project engagement for all critical activities. Managing, collaborate and communicate with multiple business stakeholders, CIOs, BU, partners/vendors to continuously improve advocacy and business value. Having Proactive risk and issues identification. Mitigating controls, cost / benefit to allow the business to make informed risk and control management. Manage risk assessments. Being the escalation point of contact for Incident, Change and Problem management with overall accountability to adhere with Service level management standards Close engagement with development teams, vendor teams, upstream and downstream systems to ensure smooth on-boarding, releases, migrations, platform stability and delivery of reports and services on time to internal business and external regulators Lead triage calls for production incidents during the time zone on faster technical resolutions, resolve incidents, perform incident post mortem, manage stakeholder communications for technology management and business leaders. Develops new HPC software deployment plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability for USC researchers. Trains technical ITS staff in the use of new software and hardware, either developed or acquired. Maintains and manages HPC researcher accounts and logins for staff and USC research groups. Installs, modifies, and maintains various research software applications for access on HPC clusters. Provides researcher support and documentation for software applications and programs. Designs, installs, configures, and performs document management for cluster infrastructure, including operating systems, job schedulers, resource managers, provisioning managers, configuration managers, network devices, and other components. Investigates, debugs, and addresses researcher inquiries and requests efficiently through a customer issue ticketing system. Communicates complex technical concepts in simple, straightforward language. Drive automation and continuous process improvement to ensure operational efficiency and cost optimization. Produce weekly and monthly metrics on application performance and drive improvements to meet group wide targets. Ensure critical KPI, SLA and deliverables are met for all the applications on a daily basis. Drive discussion with BTB and business to close production issues caused by change or process. Ensure all external and internal audit requests are handled and gaps are remediated with the help of BTB, if any. Represent the team in regional and global initiatives and partner with peers across the bank to drive the Barclays mind-set and values. What we\'re looking for: .Experience working with distributed computing technologies (Tibco Gridserver, IBM Symphony, etc.) .Knowledge of enterprise level messaging, authentication and encryption techniques .Experience in working with RDBMS technologies including Oracle, MSSQL, MariaDB including development experience in PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, SQL/PSM .Experience with development Tools including source control (GIT), Continuous Integration (Jenkins), Testing frameworks (Sonar) & techniques .Software deployment tools (e.g. Chef) .Scripting tools - Bash, Powershell .TCP/IP stack knowledge and debugging Good communication with strong analytics and reporting skills. Good Understanding of ITIL concepts. Good understanding of Lean Control process, and Skills that will help you in the role: Good understanding of DataWarehouse principles. Familiar with financial services industry, regulatory and compliance requirements of global regulators like PRA, Federal Reserve.
