Key Responsibilities:1. Supervision & Staff Management



Oversee housekeeping staff, ensuring proper cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained. Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping personnel. Conduct regular inspections of hospital rooms, wards, ICUs, OPDs, waiting areas, and other hospital facilities. Monitor staff performance, attendance, and adherence to hospital housekeeping protocols.

2. Hygiene & Infection Control



Ensure compliance with hospital hygiene, sanitation, and infection control protocols. Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, waste disposal, and biohazard management. Work closely with infection control teams to implement cleanliness and disinfection measures.

3. Inventory & Supplies Management



Maintain stock of cleaning materials, disinfectants, and equipment. Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely replenishment of supplies. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment.

4. Quality Control & Compliance



Conduct routine audits to ensure hospital housekeeping meets NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) and JCI (Joint Commission International) standards. Address and resolve housekeeping-related complaints from patients, staff, and visitors. Ensure all waste, including biomedical waste, is disposed of following hospital guidelines.

5. Coordination & Reporting



Prepare daily reports on housekeeping operations and submit them to the hospital administration. Conduct regular meetings with the housekeeping team to address issues and improve efficiency. Work in coordination with nursing staff and hospital management for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:



Education:

Diploma/Degree

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities. Knowledge of hospital hygiene and infection control protocols. Ability to train and mentor housekeeping staff. Excellent communication skills in Malayalam and English. Basic computer knowledge for report management.
