Waste Management:
• Ensure that trash is collected regularly and disposed of properly in all areas of the cinema.
• Manage recycling efforts and ensure that materials are disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
• Monitor waste disposal in common areas like restrooms, lobbies, and concession areas to avoid overflow.
Supervision of Housekeeping Staff:
• Manage and supervise housekeeping staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and according to schedule.
• Train and onboard new housekeeping employees on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Assign daily duties to housekeeping staff, including cleaning of auditoriums, lobbies, restrooms, staff areas, and outdoor areas.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Ensure the cleanliness of cinema theatres, including seating areas, floors, walls, and ceilings.
• Oversee cleaning of common areas such as lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and concession stands.
• Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained throughout the day.
• Supervise deep cleaning efforts between movie showings, especially in the auditoriums.
• Check and maintain cleanliness of entryways and exterior areas like parking lots, walkways, and ticket counters.
Inventory Management:
• Oversee and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Order and maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Ensure all cleaning materials are safe for use and comply with health and safety regulations.
Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure high cleanliness standards are met.
• Address any complaints or issues raised by customers regarding cleanliness or maintenance.
• Take corrective action when cleaning standards are not met.
Coordination with Other Departments:
• Communicate and coordinate with the cinema management team regarding maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, or cleanliness concerns.
• Work with technical staff to ensure that cleaning schedules do not interfere with movie screenings.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that cleanliness is maintained during high-traffic times, such as before or after showings.
Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that all cleaning practices adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure the use of safe cleaning products, and ensure staff follow proper safety guidelines for handling hazardous materials.
• Report any maintenance issues that could pose a safety hazard, such as damaged floors, broken seating, or malfunctioning equipment.
Customer Experience:
• Ensure that the cinema's cleanliness positively impacts the customer experience.
• Be responsive to customer complaints regarding cleanliness and take immediate action to resolve issues.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with patrons and encourage staff to do the same.
Staff Scheduling:
• Prepare work schedules for housekeeping staff based on peak and off-peak times.
• Ensure sufficient staffing during busy periods, such as weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Manage time-off requests and ensure that there is no disruption to cleaning services.
Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain records of cleaning schedules, inventory usage, and employee performance.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping activities for the management team.
