Position: Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: Indie Stays, Kalina Property, Mumbai Job Summary: The Housekeeping Supervisor at Indie Stays, Kalina Property, will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of Housekeeping Staff:
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations and staff activities.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure staff adherence to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development:
  • Train new housekeeping staff in proper cleaning techniques, safety practices, and hotel standards.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for existing staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and appearance.
  • Ensure rooms are prepared to the highest standards before guest check-in.
  • Address and resolve any guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain and manage housekeeping supplies and inventory.
  • Order supplies as needed and ensure proper storage and labeling.
  • Monitor and control costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Implement and monitor cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of illnesses.
  • Conduct regular safety training and drills for housekeeping staff.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with the front desk and maintenance teams regarding room status and issues.
  • Attend regular management meetings to discuss operational issues and improvements.
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities and inventory.
  • Prepare reports on housekeeping performance and guest feedback.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management for the housekeeping department.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: \xe2\x82\xb918,000.00 - \xe2\x82\xb920,000.00 per month Schedule:
