• Hospital Housekeeping Supervisor Roles & Responsibilities
1. Managing Housekeeping Staff:
• Hiring and Training: Recruit and train housekeeping staff on hospital policies, cleaning protocols, and safety standards.
• Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
• Supervision: Oversee daily activities of housekeeping staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
2. Ensuring Cleanliness and Sanitation:
• Cleaning Protocols: Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols for various areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
• Infection Control: Ensure compliance with infection control policies, including proper use of disinfectants and procedures for cleaning biohazardous materials.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met and identify areas needing improvement.
3. Inventory and Supply Management:
• Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linen, and equipment.
• Order Supplies: Place orders for necessary supplies and ensure timely restocking.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and in good working order.
4. Policy and Procedure Development:
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and update SOPs for housekeeping tasks to maintain consistency and quality.
• Safety Protocols: Establish and enforce safety protocols to protect staff and patients.
5. Budget Management:
• Budget Planning: Assist in the preparation and management of the housekeeping budget.
• Cost Control: Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising on quality.
6. Communication and Coordination:
• Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with other hospital departments to coordinate housekeeping activities and support patient care needs.
• Feedback Management: Handle complaints and feedback regarding housekeeping services and take corrective actions as necessary.
7. Compliance and Standards:
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding hospital cleanliness and safety.
• Quality Standards: Adhere to and enforce quality standards set by hospital administration and accrediting bodies.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
