Job Summary:



The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, maintaining inventory, and ensuring adherence to hotel policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities: Operations & Supervision:



Supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to the highest standards. Assign tasks and monitor daily cleaning schedules for room attendants and public area cleaners. Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards. Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the engineering department for timely resolution.

Guest Satisfaction:



Ensure prompt and efficient handling of guest requests, special requirements, and complaints related to housekeeping. Maintain a positive and professional approach when interacting with guests.

Training & Team Management:



Provide on-the-job training to housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and safety protocols. Motivate and guide team members to ensure efficiency and high-quality service. Assist in evaluating staff performance and providing feedback to improve productivity.

Inventory & Supplies Management:



Monitor and maintain stock levels of housekeeping supplies, linens, and cleaning equipment. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of supplies. Maintain proper records of inventory usage and minimize wastage.

Compliance & Safety:



Ensure adherence to hotel policies, safety procedures, and hygiene regulations. Conduct safety briefings and ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements:



Minimum of 4-5 years of housekeeping experience, preferably in a 4 or 5-star hotel. Previous experience in a supervisory role is must to have. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team efficiently. Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, and equipment. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hotel operations.
