The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all assigned areas, rooms, and facilities are cleaned, maintained, and presented to a high standard. ### Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Staff:
- Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping personnel to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Schedule and assign duties to housekeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Conduct daily briefings and communicate expectations, policies, and procedures.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and orderliness according to established standards.
- Identify and report maintenance issues or repair needs to the appropriate departments.
- Conduct regular room checks and ensure that housekeeping staff follow cleaning protocols, including proper use of chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and safely used.
- Guest Relations:
- Ensure that all guest requests related to housekeeping are handled promptly and courteously.
- Respond to guest feedback and concerns regarding cleanliness and service, taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
- Ensure that lost and found items are properly handled and documented.
- Inventory and Supplies Management:
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping equipment.
- Order and restock supplies as necessary, ensuring cost control and minimizing waste.
- Monitor usage and report any discrepancies or issues with supplies.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all housekeeping operations comply with local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring staff follows proper safety procedures and reports hazards.
- Ensure the proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain records of room assignments, staff schedules, and other relevant documentation.
- Assist in budget management and control of departmental costs.
- Assist with employee performance reviews, training, and development programs.

### Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role (preferred).
- Prior supervisory experience in a housekeeping or hospitality environment (preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office or housekeeping management software).
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (or more if required).
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and different environments.
