Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall upkeep of the hospital. This role involves managing the housekeeping staff, developing cleaning schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Housekeeping Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
  • Schedule staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage for all areas of the hospital.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to communicate policies, procedures, and any updates.
  • Cleaning Operations:
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules to ensure all areas of the hospital are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations, including patient rooms, operating rooms, common areas, and administrative offices.
  • Inspect hospital areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and address any issues promptly.
  • Inventory and Supplies:
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens.
  • Order and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain records of inventory usage and budget compliance.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure all cleaning activities comply with hospital policies and health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular training sessions on infection control and proper cleaning techniques.
  • Maintain documentation for regulatory compliance and participate in inspections and audits.
  • Customer Service:
  • Respond to housekeeping-related requests and complaints from hospital staff and patients in a timely manner.
  • Foster a positive relationship with hospital staff, patients, and visitors by addressing concerns and feedback effectively.
  • Quality Control:
  • Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans based on feedback and inspection results.
  • Budget Management:
  • Prepare and manage the housekeeping department budget.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure efficient use of resources to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
  • Special Projects:
  • Lead or participate in special cleaning projects, such as deep cleaning, during hospital renovations or special events.
  • Coordinate with other departments for specialized cleaning needs and schedules.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: \xe2\x82\xb915,000.00 - \xe2\x82\xb920,000.00 per month Benefits:
