Job Description

Summary: The Housekeeping Desk Attendant is responsible for managing the housekeeping office, ensuring effective communication within the housekeeping department and with other departments, and maintaining records and inventories. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the housekeeping department, supporting the team by coordinating activities and providing administrative assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication and Coordination:

• Answer and direct phone calls in the housekeeping office.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping staff, other hotel departments, and guests.
• Dispatch housekeeping requests to staff members and follow up to ensure completion.

Record Keeping and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including room status, maintenance requests, and guest requests.
• Keep logs of lost and found items and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Update and manage housekeeping schedules and rosters.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of cleaning supplies and amenities.
• Track usage of supplies and report any discrepancies or shortages to the Housekeeping Manager.

Guest Services:

• Address guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and timely manner.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service

. Administrative Support:

• Assist the Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, handling correspondence, and scheduling meetings.
• Prepare and distribute daily task sheets and reports to housekeeping staff.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the housekeeping office.

Compliance and Safety:

• Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
• Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?16,810.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
