Women Pride Hospital & IVF is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hospital Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, and common areas. The Housekeeper will play a crucial role in infection control and ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing:
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas according to hospital standards and protocols.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents and disinfectants to ensure all surfaces are free from harmful bacteria and viruses.
• Ensure that all medical waste is disposed of correctly in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Daily Maintenance:
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, and other necessary items.
• Empty and clean trash bins and dispose of waste in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Specialized Cleaning:
• Clean and maintain high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and elevator buttons.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as needed, including floor waxing, carpet shampooing, and window washing.
• Assist in the cleaning and preparation of operating rooms and other specialized medical areas.
• Infection Control:
• Adhere to all hospital infection control policies and procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately and safely.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work collaboratively with other housekeeping staff and hospital departments to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
• Attend and participate in housekeeping meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods.
• Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Must be able to use cleaning equipment and materials safely.
