Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a high standard of hygiene, comfort, and guest satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to the hotel's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Room Cleaning
• Clean, dust, and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, furniture, bathrooms, and appliances.
• Replenish room amenities such as toiletries, towels, and refreshment items.
• Ensure all rooms are well-stocked, organized, and ready for guest check-in.
• Public Area Maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness in public spaces, hallways, stairways, lobbies, and elevators.
• Regularly check for and report maintenance needs in these areas.
• Laundry Duties
• Collect and transport soiled linens and towels to the laundry department.
• Sort, fold, and deliver fresh linens to assigned rooms or storage areas as needed.
• Guest Interaction
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
• Assist guests with additional amenities or services if required.
• Inventory and Supplies
• Report any need for repair or maintenance to the supervisor.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies by reporting inventory shortages to the supervisor.
• Safety and Security
• Follow all hotel policies and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Immediately report any suspicious activities, items, or incidents.
Requirements:
• Prior experience in a housekeeping role within a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good physical stamina; able to stand, walk, and lift throughout shifts.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
