Basic Purpose To maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the assigned area of work as per the laid down standards of the hotel insuring and exceeding guest satisfaction. Duties and Responsibilities
Each associate must report on time for the assigned shift in immaculate uniform and abiding with the grooming standards.
Each associate is responsible for the keys and pagers being handed over to him/her and must ensure that they are signed in and out for.
The associate is responsible for the safety and security of his/ her assigned area of work and must adhere to the laid down security procedures.
The associate must collect the required supplies and equipment from the master stores and ensure complete accountability for their inventory.
All areas assigned must be cleaned as per the laid down procedures and the aim must be to provide \xe2\x80\x980 Defect\xe2\x80\x99 areas to our guests.
All rooms must be checked and serviced by 1600hrs daily except for DND, DL and refused service rooms.
A daily discrepancy report must be made and all discrepancies like extra beds, scanty baggage, number of occupants must be informed to the Housekeeping Executive in order to ensure correct billing and control skippers.
All rooms must be service in the order specified ie. Vacant, departures and occupied rooms. \xe2\x80\x98 Service my room cards must be given preference and the room attended to within 10 minutes.
Must ensure that adequate stocks of all guest and cleaning supplies are available on the floor pantries at all times and a proper inventory is maintained.
All guest requests must be attended to promptly and courteously and guest needs and preferences must always be kept in mind while servicing rooms.
To coordinate with engineering for maintenances of rooms, guest corridors and service areas.
To use all electrical equipment as per the laid down procedures and ensure that no equipment is misused.
All lost and found articles must be reported to the duty manager and the Housekeeping Team leader immediately and must be deposited in the housekeeping department along with the relevant details.
Inform the housekeeping team leader about missing or damaged articles and linen as soon as possible.
Ensure that all guest and service corridors are free of soiled trays and litter at all times.
To ensure that the floor pantries and service equipment are clean and well stored at the end of each shift.
To encourage and participate as a team in all hotel and departmental activities and practice internal customer concepts.
Encourage and follow cost conservation methods and follow procedures of energy conservation.
To complete and be responsible for any special assignment or task delegated to him/her.
Must keep him/her self abreast of all hotel facilities and information and be able to answer guest inquiries.
Keep trolley orderly and properly stocked all the time
Inspect room linens before placing in the room
