Job Summary:
The Hotel Sales Manager is pivotal in driving revenue and increasing market share by developing and executing effective sales strategies. This role requires a dynamic individual who can build and maintain strong client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver exceptional service to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Sales Strategies:Formulate and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue objectives. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform and adjust strategies.
Client Relationship Management:Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners. Serve as the primary point of contact for all client interactions.
Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and other lead-generation activities. Follow up on leads and convert them into confirmed business.
Proposal and Contract Negotiation:Prepare and deliver tailored proposals and negotiate contracts with clients. Ensure all agreements align with hotel policies and are accurately documented.
Revenue Optimization: Work with the revenue management team to develop pricing strategies that maximize revenue. Monitor booking trends and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
Event Coordination: Collaborate with the events team to plan and execute meetings, conferences, and special events held at the hotel. Ensure seamless integration between sales and event execution.
Sales Reporting: Track sales performance metrics, including booking volumes, revenue, and client feedback. Provide regular reports and updates to the Director of Sales and Marketing, and recommend improvements based on data analysis.
Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction throughout the sales and event planning process. Address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a positive client experience.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency with sales software and CRM systems.
Analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
