The Hotel Receptionist/Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's front desk, providing excellent customer service, and managing the daily activities and staff. Key Responsibilities:
• Front Desk Operations:
• Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously.
• Check guests in and out, manage reservations, and handle inquiries.
• Answer phone calls and respond to emails efficiently.
• Process payments, issue room keys, and maintain accurate records of bookings.
• Customer Service:
• Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns with a positive attitude.
• Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Assist guests with special requests, including booking transportation or making restaurant reservations.
• Managerial Duties:
• Oversee daily front desk operations and ensure staff adherence to hotel policies.
• Train, supervise, and schedule front desk staff.
• Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
• Assist in managing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning for the front desk department.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, changes, and expectations.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain and update guest information and reservation systems.
• Prepare and manage reports, including occupancy rates, financial summaries, and guest feedback.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Crisis Management:
• Handle emergency situations, such as medical incidents or security issues, following established protocols.
• Maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
• Sales and Marketing:
• Promote hotel services and facilities to guests.
• Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in hotel reception or a similar customer service role.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
• Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
