Key Responsibilities:
• Guest Check-in/Check-out:
• Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude upon their arrival.
• Efficiently check-in guests, ensuring all necessary information is gathered and inputted into the system.
• Handle check-outs, ensuring that guests' accounts are accurately settled and thanking them for their stay.
• Reservations Management:
• Manage hotel reservations via phone, email, or booking platforms, providing information about room availability, rates, and amenities.
• Maintain accurate records of bookings and cancellations, ensuring rooms are allocated appropriately.
• Guest Service and Assistance:
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a courteous and timely manner.
• Provide local recommendations, including sightseeing spots, restaurants, and transportation options.
• Assist guests with special requests, such as arranging for transportation, tours, or other concierge services.
• Handling Payments:
• Process payments through various methods (credit/debit cards, cash, etc.).
• Ensure that invoices are correctly generated and settled.
• Manage guest accounts and ensure all charges are appropriately recorded.
• Communication with Hotel Staff:
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Report maintenance issues or special guest requirements to the relevant departments.
• Maintain Front Desk Area:
• Ensure that the front desk area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Handle the inventory of supplies such as brochures, maps, and other guest materials.
• Record Keeping and Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain and update guest logs, reservation books, and any other necessary paperwork.
• Perform basic administrative duties as needed, such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and filing documents.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a hotel receptionist, front desk officer, or similar customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills in English (additional knowledge of Hindi and/or other regional languages will be an advantage).
• A friendly and professional demeanor, with a passion for customer service.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel management software (e.g. Weblogic)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of local attractions and services in Goa to assist guests with recommendations.
• Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work well in a small, dynamic team.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience in a boutique hotel or luxury hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of other languages, especially Hindi, Marathi, or other international languages, is a plus.
• Previous experience with handling concierge services.
