We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a warm personality, and the ability to manage reservations and guest flow effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet Guests : Warmly welcome and greet guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Manage Reservations : Take reservations over the phone or in-person and maintain an organized reservation system.
• Seating Arrangements : Assign and manage seating according to reservations and guest preferences, optimizing table turnover.
• Waitlist Management : Maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods and inform guests of wait times.
• Provide Information : Answer questions about the menu, restaurant policies, and promotions while providing excellent customer service.
• Assist in Dining Area : Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and ready for guests, including setting tables and arranging seating.
• Support the Staff : Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle Guest Concerns : Address any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring a satisfactory resolution.
• Perform Other Duties : Assist with additional tasks as needed, including answering phones and supporting the front-of-house team during busy periods.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a customer service role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of restaurant operations is a plus.
