Job Summary:
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at our establishment. You will greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure guests are seated promptly and comfortably. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greeting Guests: Welcome guests as they arrive, with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
• Seating Guests: Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and informing them of the server who will be attending to them.
• Managing Reservations: Handle reservations over the phone, online, or in person, ensuring that the dining room is utilized efficiently.
• Waitlist Management: Maintain and manage the waitlist during busy periods, providing accurate wait time estimates to guests.
• Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about the menu, including specials and changes, to answer guest questions accurately.
• Coordination: Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
• Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess station, entryway, and lobby.
• Customer Service: Address guest concerns or special requests courteously and professionally, escalating to management if necessary.
• Assisting Staff: Provide assistance to servers and other staff as needed, including clearing tables or refilling drinks during peak times.
• End of Shift Duties: Assist in closing duties, such as cleaning and organizing the dining area, and preparing the hostess station for the next shift.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team.
• Appearance: Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and escort guests to their seats, sometimes carrying items like menus or drink trays.
• Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Positive Attitude: Must have a friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Adaptability: Ability to handle last-minute changes and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
