Hostess
Job Description
A hostess, or host, is responsible for welcoming guests and ensuring they have a pleasant dining experience. Their duties can include:
• Greeting : Welcoming guests with a smile and friendly greeting, using their name, and confirming the number of people in their party
• Seating : Seating guests based on availability and their preferences
• Managing reservations : Answering phone calls and making reservations
• Providing menus : Giving guests the dinner and drink menus
• Monitoring activity : Monitoring the restaurant's activity to ensure a smooth flow and seating
• Maintaining waitlist : Maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal times
• Providing items : Providing items like crayons, coloring books, and snacks
• Communicating with staff : Working with internal staff, including managers, servers, bartenders, food runners, and back-of-house staff
• Informing staff : Informing the server and/or manager of special needs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
