Key Responsibilities:
• Greet guests warmly as they arrive, make them feel welcome, and ensure they are seated in a timely manner.
• Manage reservations and waitlists, ensuring the seating arrangements align with guest preferences and table availability.
• Escort guests to their assigned tables, provide menus, and offer any additional information about the restaurant.
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries about the menu, hours, and the restaurant's services.
• Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction, address any special requests, and resolve minor issues or complaints.
• Manage wait times effectively, communicate with guests about their expected wait, and offer comfortable waiting areas.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in customer service or as a hostess is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during busy periods.
• Work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with waitstaff, kitchen, and management.
