Position: Hostess Location: The Shalimar Hotel, Mumbai Overview: We are seeking a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic Hostess to join our team at a prestigious 4-star lifestyle property. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Additionally, the Hostess will be responsible for upselling our restaurant services and engaging with guests through phone calls to enhance their stay. Key Responsibilities: Greet Guests: Welcome and greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression. Guest Seating: Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and introducing the day\'s specials or promotions. Upselling: Promote our restaurants and special dining events, encouraging guests to explore our culinary offerings. Guest Engagement: Make phone calls to guests to confirm reservations, gather feedback, and invite them to special events or dining promotions. Reservation Management: Manage reservations using the property\xe2\x80\x99s reservation system, ensuring optimal table allocation and guest satisfaction. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure a seamless guest experience. Customer Service: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing information about the property\xe2\x80\x99s services and amenities. Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand, lobby area, and dining rooms. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the restaurant and front desk teams to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation. Qualifications:Previous experience in a similar role within a high-end or lifestyle property preferred. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
