Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Welfare and Discipline
• Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all students residing in the hostel.
• Enforce discipline and create a conducive environment for study and personal development.
• Counsel students and address any personal, social, or disciplinary issues, coordinating with the college's counseling team when necessary.
• Administrative Duties
• Maintain updated records of students in the hostel, including attendance, medical records, and emergency contact details.
• Oversee room allocation and ensure smooth occupancy management.
• Handle check-in and check-out processes for students.
• Safety and Security
• Ensure hostel premises are safe and secure, coordinating with security personnel and conducting regular inspections.
• Act as the primary point of contact during emergencies, ensuring students' safety and quick resolution of issues.
• Maintain awareness of any security risks, taking preventive measures and enforcing strict entry/exit protocols.
• Facility Management
• Monitor and ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the hostel premises, including common areas, bathrooms, and rooms.
• Report maintenance issues and ensure timely repairs in collaboration with the facilities department.
• Support Services
• Collaborate with dining and housekeeping services to maintain quality standards for meals and sanitation.
• Facilitate medical assistance and first aid when required, and coordinate with local medical facilities for emergencies.
• Parent Communication
• Act as the liaison between parents and the college administration regarding student welfare, behavior, and any incidents.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (any discipline); relevant certification or diploma in hostel/administrative management is a plus.
• Previous experience in hostel management or a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an understanding of young adult psychology.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) for record-keeping and reporting.

Working Hours : This is a residential position with on-call responsibilities, requiring availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Compensation : Competitive salary with accommodation and meals provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
