: Girls' Hostel Warden (Plus One and Plus Two Students)

Position Title: Girls' Hostel Warden

Job Summary:

The Girls' Hostel Warden is responsible for the overall management and administration of the hostel, ensuring a safe, secure, and supportive environment for students in plus one and plus two (11th and 12th grades). The warden will act as a mentor, guide, and guardian for the students, addressing their concerns, enforcing rules, and promoting their well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Welfare:
• Provide a nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and academic well-being of all students.
• Act as the first point of contact for students' concerns and issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Conduct regular meetings with students to address their needs and concerns.
• Safety and Security:
• Ensure the safety and security of all students within the hostel premises.
• Implement and monitor strict entry and exit protocols.
• Conduct regular checks of hostel premises, including rooms, common areas, and surroundings, to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
• Discipline and Conduct:
• Enforce hostel rules and regulations fairly and consistently, ensuring discipline is maintained at all times.
• Address any incidents of misconduct, bullying, or harassment, taking appropriate disciplinary actions in accordance with school policies.
• Foster an atmosphere of respect, cooperation, and inclusiveness among students.
• Administration and Supervision:
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, leave requests, and other relevant documentation.
• Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld in all areas of the hostel.
• Oversee the distribution and management of hostel supplies, including bedding, toiletries, and food.
• Manage the hostel budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Health and Medical Care:
• Monitor the health and well-being of students, arranging medical attention when necessary.
• Keep a record of students' health issues and medications, ensuring confidentiality and appropriate care.
• Liaise with the school nurse or local healthcare providers for regular health check-ups and emergency care.
• Parental Communication:
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians, updating them on their child's well-being and progress.
• Handle parental inquiries and concerns professionally, keeping them informed of any significant issues or incidents.
• Academic Support:
• Collaborate with academic staff to monitor students' academic performance and provide necessary support or interventions.
• Encourage and facilitate a study-friendly environment within the hostel.
• Organize or supervise study sessions, tutoring, or academic workshops as needed.
• Extracurricular and Recreational Activities:
• Plan and organize extracurricular and recreational activities to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle for students.
• Encourage student participation in social, cultural, and sports activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational Qualification: Diploma or a Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields is preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in hostel management, student counseling, or a related role is highly desirable.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
• Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
• Leadership skills with the ability to enforce discipline fairly.
• First aid and emergency response training is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• The warden is expected to reside on campus and be available on-call 24/7 for emergencies.

Remuneration:

• 15000-3000
• Food & accommodation will be free
