About Us:

We are a progressive and sustainable farm committed to blending traditional farming wisdom with modern agricultural practices, we specialize in horticulture, permaculture, natural farming, and organic farming, alongside producing premium A2 milk from Gir cows. Our farm also serves as a research hub for innovative agriculture and dairy technologies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Horticulturist who is passionate about sustainable agriculture, horticulture, and organic farming. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge farming practices, contribute to research, and help scale operations while promoting environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of the farm, ensuring efficient and sustainable management of crops, livestock (especially Gir cows), and farm infrastructure.
• Revenue Generation: Develop and implement strategies to generate revenue through diversified farming practices, including organic produce, dairy sales (A2 milk), and other value-added products.
• Horticulture & Permaculture Practices: Apply principles of horticulture, permaculture, and natural farming to cultivate a variety of crops, ensuring optimal yields while maintaining soil health and ecological balance.
• Organic Farming: Manage and expand organic farming operations, ensuring the use of heirloom seeds, organic fertilizers, and sustainable pest management.
• Research Support: Collaborate with our team on agricultural and horticultural research projects, focusing on crop improvement, sustainable farming methods, and dairy technologies.
• Team Leadership: Supervise farm staff, contractors, and volunteers, fostering a positive, collaborative environment to meet farm goals.
• Content Creation: Contribute to content creation efforts (blog posts, social media, farm reports) to share knowledge, promote farm activities, and build a brand presence.
• Farm Expansion: Assist in planning and executing the expansion of farm operations, incorporating new farming techniques, crop diversification, and other business strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in farm management, preferably in organic or sustainable farming practices.
• In-depth knowledge of horticulture, permaculture, and natural farming principles.
• Familiarity with A2 dairy farming, particularly Gir cows, is a plus.
• Strong understanding of heirloom seed sourcing and plant cultivation.
• Experience in farm revenue generation through direct-to-consumer sales or value-added products.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and innovation in the farming industry.
• Content creation skills (writing, photography, video production) are highly desirable.
