Job Description

Position: - Horticulture Expert.

Desired Profile : The candidates will skilled Horticulture Expert with experience in highway projects to join our team, with a specific focus on integrating green spaces and vegetation into large-scale infrastructure projects. the candidate should possess strong horticulture knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful project management within the highway infrastructure sector.

Education and Qualifications: - B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture.

Role Description: -

Planning and Design

• Develop and implement horticultural plans and designs for highway projects
• Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and environmental specialists to ensure cohesive design integration
• Assess site conditions and determine appropriate plant species for different environmental zones along the highway.

Project management

• Oversee the execution of horticultural works, including planting, irrigation systems, and maintenance schedules.
• Manage and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of horticultural tasks.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project goals and timelines.
• Provide expert guidance on nurturing and managing forests, gardens, parks, and landscapes to optimize their health and aesthetic appeal.

Environmental Compliance

• Ensure all horticultural practices comply with local and national environmental regulations.
• Implement sustainable practices to enhance biodiversity and minimize environmental impact
• Promote sustainable horticultural practices through workshops, educational programs, and technical guidance to farmers and landscapers.

Documentation and Reporting: -

• Prepare detailed reports on horticultural activities, project progress, and any issues encountered.
• Maintain accurate records of plant species used, planting dates, and maintenance schedules.

Experience: - Minimum of 6 years of experience in horticulture, preferably in the highway projects.

Relevant Experience required in: - Proven experience in horticulture or related roles, with a strong understanding of plant biology, growth cycles, and maintenance practices.
